She honestly has become a part of our family because she cares about her customers and your relationship with her goes well beyond a simple jewelry purchase. Barbara has created many custom pieces for me over the years, and she always listens carefully to make sure she creates exactly what I want. She also offers her invaluable advice to make sure your piece will be cherished for years, and maybe generations, to come! In addition to being a fantastic jeweler, Barbara gives back to her community in many ways and is an all around beautiful person. I recommend her to anyone shopping for any piece. What do you do when your fiancé buys you a beautiful engagement ring and you need a custom wedding band to compliment it? You go to Barbara Oliver Jewelry.

The dilemma: I wanted a wedding band that would show the sapphire in the setting of my engagement ring. Barbara and her team helped design and create the wedding band of my dreams.

Barbara went above and beyond. She took time to sit down with me and discuss what I wanted in a wedding band. She thoroughly inspected my engagement ring, explained to me the whole process in full detail- even showing me examples of other work she has done. During the process of creating the band, she included me in every step of the way. She emailed me pictures of mock ups and even created a wax model so I could see what the ring would look like when it was done. Her staff were also amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating, truly a pleasure to work with. After a few short weeks, I got my ring. It was so perfect it brought me to tears.

It is hard to find a jeweler you can trust, especially with sentimental items like a wedding band. Barbara is trustworthy, honest, and communicative. I highly recommend Barbara Oliver Jewelry for any custom jewelry!!

Absolutely in love with my engagement ring. My fiancé & I went shopping together at first to see what I liked and she took so much time with us explaining the process, the diamonds, what to look for, etc. This was so helpful and made us feel so safe and sure that this is where we wanted to purchase from. When I was little I used to always ask my gram if I could have her “green ring”. I thought it was so pretty and would ask if I could wear it whenever I saw her wearing it. She promised me that I could have it when I was older…

After she passed I knew I wanted to take the “green ring” and a diamond necklace she gave me to have them combined into one ring. I had been following Barabara Oliver on FB for a few years and knew she was the perfect person for the job. Working with Barbara was a dream! I cannot thank her enough for taking such great care of my grams ring and designing a new ring similar to the original. I am so happy with how this turned out - it brought me to tears. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. I live out of town and made arrangements to see Barbara while visiting family. Barbara and her staff gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. I brought some gems and stones, some with sentimental value, but with no clear idea of what to do to reset them in a new ring. While sitting down with Barbara, she asked me a few questions to learn a bit about me, my likes and my style and she began sketching - within minutes she designed the perfect setting! When the ring arrived, I cried tears of joy! Not only does this ring appeal to my style perfectly, it also honors my husband and my mother by incorporating stones from each of them. I have never had a custom piece of jewelry and I have never valued a piece of jewelry more. I will wear it every day, I will smile each time I look at it, and I will treasure it always. We found Barbara Oliver after visiting several of the top rated jewellers in Buffalo. Barbara was the highest ranked and for good reason! She has a lot of experience working with Canadian customers. Her approach is professional yet warm and caring. She is an authentic person and earned our trust immediately. She is clearly an expert in her field and helped us pick the perfect diamond. She patiently and expertly guided us through the design process until we had the exact ring we envisioned. She managed expectations of what was possible to ensure the ring was structurally sound and of the highest quality. It is stunning and unique, and like nothing we've seen before or since. Barbara was very responsive and worked quickly to ensure we had the ring in time for a surprise proposal on our one year anniversary, which was much earlier than expected. She helped create the perfect engagement story to go along with the perfect, one-of-a-kind ring. Barbara was exceptional, a pleasure to work with and an incredibly skilled craftsman. I am the kind of gal who can turn a simple task into a multi level problem in no time flat! I am indecisive, and often without any vision, even though, in my head, I know EXACTLY what I want. Getting that idea out of my brain and turning it into words... Not my strong suit.

I met Barbara, holding a handful of various stones, old settings and not one concrete idea of what to do. I just knew I was given the opportunity to create my own ring, and it needed to be a showstopper.

It took Barbara less than 2 minutes to show me the most perfect, jaw dropping design I've ever seen! With that, all of the anxiety, nervousness and stress just floated away. We began to chat like we had known one another for 20 years. We laughed, I cried, sharing some of my most precious memories with her, because, she was (and is) an instant friend. I don't know how we are so lucky to have this absolute gem of a woman in our quaint little village, but boy am I thankful!

While this is only my first creation with Barbara, I know for certain, it will not be the last!

My fiance and I both live in Chicago and I met Barbara through my fiance's mom who lives in Buffalo and I made sure to keep her in mind when it came down to the time to buy an engagement ring. I dealt with jewelers in my hometown of Minneapolis, here in Chicago, Atlanta, and Albuquerque and not one of them even came close to the Barbara. She not only beat them all in price, but also went above and beyond to explain everything involved with the purchase as well. She was honest, upfront, and it seemed like I was purchasing it from a life long friend rather than a sales person trying to make a commision. Since I live in Chicago and she is in Buffalo I never had the opportunity to actually see the diamond or ring in person until the ring was completed and I was there to purchase it. The day she found the diamond she just said, "I trust my diamond guy. It's going to be beautiful." I told her that if she trusts him then I do as well and I could tell that meant a lot to her. When she received the diamond she told me over and over that it was the most beautiful diamond she had received in the confines of what I wanted. She tried to send me photos/videos of it, but obviously it didn't do it justice. The 2 months it took to get it complete (completion was slowed due to COVID) Barbara would keep me updated and she just kept saying you and your fiance will love this ring. When I went to pick it up I couldn't pull out my credit card fast enough to pay. She was 100% correct. The ring was B.E.A.Utiful! I took a leap of faith to trust Barbara, who I had just met once prior to our phone call to begin this process, all the way from Chicago and let me tell you, I will take that leap every time I need some help with jewelry. If you are reading this, look no further. Barbara is the best and you will not regret your decision to use her help from whatever city or state you are calling her from. Earlier this year Barbara designed a beautiful custom ring for my friend, Marie, made from the diamonds from two very special family heirloom rings. So impressed with Barbara's kindness, patience and design skill all while not pushing to go with more expensive options that would have been outside the desired modest result that perfectly aligns with my friend's personality.

Barbara provided a singular experience, from beginning to end. I originally showed up with more questions than plans and Barbara spent the time hearing me out and helping me create a plan for my ring that felt just right. despite having two toddlers in tow for our consultation, the process felt relaxed and warm. Barbara was attentive and kept in excellent communication throughout the steps to execute our plan and more than honored her word when it came down to pricing. You can tell that she values the relationship she creates with her clients above her profits. There is no air of stuffiness or pretention to Barbara or her operation. She “unveiled “my spectacular finished product to me with the same special attention and care that she paid to the rest of the process and I left in awe of the beautiful creation that I get to wear on my finger every day. After checking out some chain jewelry stores and not being satisfied with the service or prices, we decided to try looking for a local shop to purchase from. Barbara Oliver’s was the first (and only) stop we needed to make looking for wedding bands. Although we didn’t have an appointment, Barbara sat down for over two hours going through hundreds of designs of rings and reviewing what could be customized and educating us on all aspects of diamond quality and pricing. During the process, she was very personable and professional - offering snacks and beverages while we discussed the fine details of the two custom rings we were about to purchase. In the end, Barbara helped us design custom wedding bands that look amazing and did so at a fair price.

While you may have to look a little to find where she is located (in an office building - would have never expected that!) you will be nothing less than impressed by the genuine care and interest she has in making everything perfect and affordable. I would enthusiastically recommend her for anyones jewelry needs. Her and her team do an outstanding job making you feel welcome and comfortable during such an intimidating and confusing process. They are all true professionals!

Where do I begin? It was my first time having a custom piece of jewelry made and proposing to my now fiance - and Barbara was amazing every step of the way. I was nervous at first (because I had my grandmother's diamond) and right after I met Barbara for the first time my concerns went away and I knew I was in good hands.

Barbara is extremely friendly and enjoyable to work with - AND her work is stunning, professional, and immaculate. Moreover, her prices are fair and reasonable. As a first time custom jewelry buyer, it was great to have quality work done at a reasonable and fair price.

It was a pleasure working with Barbara. I enjoyed going into her showroom and e-mailing her throughout the whole process. I am truly grateful to have met such a talented jeweler and wonderful person. I will be going to Barbara for all of my jewelry needs in the future.

Barbara is the absolute best! I recommend her to everyone, especially my friends and family. I could not be happier with how she treated us, and I know there’s no way we could have found a better diamond or jeweler.

When I went in to see Barbara for the first time, she gave a little talk on the 4 Cs, and asked for a ballpark budget, respected it and never went above that number. We looked at several diamonds she had in the store and then after more browsing when I knew what my girlfriend would love, Barbara specially ordered some that met criteria. The diamond itself was prettier than I imagined it would be, the ring once set made ME gasp, and the look on my now fiancée’s face when popping the question was absolutely priceless.

Despite living 3.5 hours away, I will return here for any future jewelry purchases because of how great the whole experience was!

We shopped around the area at a few different jewelers and no one made an impression until we stopped in to see Barbara and her team. Every other jeweler wanted to make a sale of their best available that they had in stock. They made it difficult to bring an idea to life. Barbara did what the others wouldn't. She showed us different styles to get a feeling for what we wanted. She sat us down and really outlined the process and how she works with her clients and her connections in the industry. She was able to bring in what we wanted to see and what other jewelers might overlook or maybe not have access to. Other jewelers would try to push rings and diamonds way out of our budget and they made us feel like our dream ring was unobtainable unless we doubled our budget. Barbara's process was so easy, there was no way anyone else and their team was going to provide the service Barbara Oliver did.

If you are looking for someone knowledgeable in jewelry look no further! I first called Barbara Oliver Jewelry to ask if they did appraisals and if they buy engagement rings/wedding bands. Barbara answered the phone and was so easy to work with from the first second of talking with her. Awesome customer service from the first hello! I asked her if she would look at my jewelry and she immediately said to come in and she would help me out. I went into see Barbara and you could tell she was genuine and super knowledgeable. Also, her staff was so kind and helpful. This was a very unknown thing for me to do and I easily could have been taken advantage of, but Barbara made sure that didn’t happen. Honestly, this is the only place I will refer anyone to now. Thank you for everything Barbara and staff!!

Barbara sold my engagement ring to my fiancé. I met her when we went to get it re-sized and was impressed with her professionalism and genuine interest in her clients. When I damaged my ring and didn’t know what to do, she repaired it very quickly and beautifully. I went to her for my wedding band which is gorgeous and was reasonably priced and I will continue to go to her for any jewelry needs! Barbara is friendly and professional, has gotten all jewelry to me more quickly than expected after resizing or repairs, and has a beautiful selection. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! I can’t wait to let her keep decorating me!

Barbara Oliver goes with you every step of the way from start to finish. she'll teach you how to select a diamond and will work with you to select a diamond that's right for you within your budget. She was very good about keeping price information private so that your fiance we'll have a complete surprise gift. my fiance didn't even know I had purchased the ring the day we left the store. Barbara is amazing! I brought in a lovely, family heirloom that needed work to be restored to her original splendor. The care Barbara took with this piece and the love she showed for it immediately gave me the confidence to put my trust in her completely. The experience at Barbara Oliver & Co Jewelry was a perfect fit for me. As this was the first time that I was buying an engagement ring, I visited numerous other jewelers and even done some research online to have an idea of what I was looking for. When I arrived for the first visit, Barbara spent close to 40 minutes with me to educate me on the rings, diamonds, and bands. She took the personal time to understand my needs and truly listen to what I was searching for.

Barbara really took the time to get to know me. Within my first 20 minutes of being there, I had already felt as if Ive known her for years. She had everything available and ready to allow me to spend as much time as I needed to look at and decide. Barbara wanted to ensure that this was right for me and I was comfortable and understood everything before making a decision.

Not only was Barbara able to find me the perfect ring and diamond to fit my needs and budget, she also kept in constant communication throughout the entire buying process and beyond. My fiance absolutely loves her engagement ring!

I'd highly recommend Barbara Oliver & Co Jewelry and the service they have lived up to. I cannot wait to go back again so that Barbara can meet my fiance and help us pick out our wedding bands :)

Barbara and her staff did an amazing job with re-sizing my engagement ring. They truly make you feel like a priority and make you feel 100% comfortable trusting them with your engagement ring (and any other piece of jewelry). Her staff worked efficiently and I was only without my ring for 1 day. I will definitely be using her for my wedding bands as my upcoming wedding approaches! When we started the process of ordering our wedding bands, we weren’t sure where to start. We decided to visit Barbara Oliver Jewelry because of the glowing online reviews. The reviews were not only completely true, the team still exceeded our expectations!

We were blown away by the care and attention we received from our very first visit. Everyone there made us feel so welcome and treated us like a priority each time we visited! My engagement ring didn’t have a matching band and because of their experience and creativity, they were able to create a PERFECT match — amazing!! I am absolutely in love with my ring and wedding band! The team went above and beyond to provide us with the best care, quality of rings, and experience possible. It's incredible that a jeweler can take all the stress out of such a big decision, and allow you to truly enjoy the process.
