Answer: Joel, As a rehearsal studio, we have to juggle a lot of hats and keep prices low for our customers. In reality, these places are EXTREMELY expensive to operate, and to staff it like you would an apartment complex or a hotel, any studio (not just mine) would have to employ 15-20 full time people to deliver that type of service. In reality, that would cause studios to be priced 5-10x's higher than they are really anywhere. Trust me; I wish I could get to every call and email within 5 minutes, but due to the number of those we receive a day, it might take a day or two to get back to someone. Occasionally, some things fall through the cracks. In regard to the building, we keep it running nicely and operating smoothly to service our clients and future clients. I have to apologize if I failed you in this regard; I really mean it. If you can get me on the phone the first time, I'd love to take the opportunity to apologize in person and show you what makes the experience at Soundcheck

Answer: It depends on how proficient you are as a musician/vocalist. Studio work is different than performing on the road. The Sound Engineer and Producer really need to be in sync with what you're trying to achieve. Studio work is a very exciting and rewarding time if you enjoy collaboration in creativity.
