Answer: No. There are plenty of common pools and you don't reserve time in those. Private soaks can't be booked for3 hrs, but if you do want an hour long private soak, reservations are suggested.

Answer: There are no "public pools"-- in the sense that any pool would be free of charge. The use of all pools must be paid for. However, I have found Riverbend to have the nicest hot spring pool facilities. You can pay by hourly use, but I prefer to rent a room and take advantage of their beautiful lodging and unlimited use of their hot water pools. Very beautiful ambiance along with great, quiet relaxation!! :-)

Answer: They are inside the property of Riverbend Hot Springs. They also have private pools as well. It's a beautiful place to go and relax for a couple of hours. I do realy recommend.

Answer: There is also a quiet policy, so you have to whisper and such as to not to disturb the relaxing environment.
Answer: No, not adults omly. The hottest pools are adult only b/c temps too hot for kids. Ask about private pools, clothing optional, each is spring fed and temperatures vary. Some private pools accept kids as young as 3 years. Not sure if big communal pools are cool enough for kids... enjoy. Great place.

Answer: We welcome children at least 12 years and older here. This is because of our potentially hazardous location on the Rio Grande and also because of our very whisper quiet ambiance we have here. For the time being we are making exceptions to this policy for two of our Private Pools only (Cielo and Tierra) for children at least 5 years old who are potty trained and can be very quiet (that's the tough one). Those two pools are not extremely hot and their decks are railed in for safety. We may not be making this exception for long, so always call before coming or booking. Keep in mind our Common Pools and grounds and all of our overnight lodging is strictly limited to only guests at least 12 years old and older, without exceptions. Answer: No, they don't even allow children under 12 there. I've been there twice, and have yet to see any pets at all. The focus at Riverbend is quiet, rest, and tranquilty.

Answer: What do you mean by walking distance? For me that would be about 200 yards..
Answer: No theres no food at riverbend i recommend the Pacific grill for diner then go backto riverbend for an hour soak then head to the micro brewery on the main street within walking distance of river bend no worries about driving after a couple of beers
