Answer: We live 2 hours from Galveston and we bought a plastic bag with a clasp at the top. They filled it with ice and our fish and it was perfectly fine when we returned home.
Answer: Usually in plastic bags with ice or I'm sure you can find a small ice chest at any local convenience store if that's your pleasure

Answer: I was there this weekend and did not see oysters. I think oysters are more available in cooler waters. They had lots of shrimp!! And many other kinds of fish as well.
