Answer: No, just a view of. If you get a National Parks Pass, it is good for almost all the National Parks and Monuments. However, if you are not sure you will get the value from it, oay as you go abd save your tickets. If you reach the amount you would have spent on a pass, you can trade the tickets in towards the purchase of a pass. They will honor tickets bought within on year. Dollar for dollar.
Answer: Short answer is no; the cliff dwellings are off limits to park visitors. However, researchers and MCNM Park Rangers make occasional visits into the castle to conduct research and/or to check on the integrity of the structures that make up the castle. One of the rangers told me that they visit up to 15 times a year for various upkeep, structural checks, and really any good reason they can think of, because it's an amazing sight. So, no if you're a run-of-the-mill visitor; possibly if you're a researcher; and yes if you're a MCNM Park Ranger.

Answer: Congrats on 102!!! My grandmother went sightseeing w me until the same age! Enjoy everyday! It is wheelchair/walker friendly. $10 bring a lunch & enjoy the view of castle & sound of h2o. Binoculars good for super close up but not needed.
Answer: It's not much of a fee . The approach is wheelchair accessible and a very pleasant and brief stroll. You actually can linger at different parts of the "hike" or just stroll thru. She would probably enjoy it tremendously.
Answer: Yes. You do have to pay to see it. Can't see it from the parking lot. Maybe you can see part of it from an angle but the best view is right in front of it.

Answer: No. Just kidding. ;) You could scooter the whole area in about 3 minutes. I'm pretty certain they wouldn't allow any motorized scooters though.

Question: How old is the castle

Answer: It was built and occupied between 700 and 1100 A.D. so approximately 13 centuries old.
Answer: Not a real castle. They are ancient cliff dwellings. It's a beautiful place.
Answer: It was used by a native cliff dwelling population for approximately 1000 years, being added to continually. Can you imagine going up & down daily for water & to tend to crops?
Answer: And pets allowed!
Answer: Roger is right, it is a must see! Don't forget to see Montezuma's well also
